Anne Whiting Real Estate contribution launches 2021 Hope for Heroes Appeal

Veterans Transition House seeks to raise $25,000 between Memorial Day and 4th of July

New Bedford, MA: Anne Whiting, owner of Anne Whiting Real Estate, presented a check for $25,000 to Veterans Transition House, to pay tribute to the men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice, this Memorial Day.

In front of a group of Anne Whiting Real Estate associates and veterans served by Veterans Transition House, James Reid, Executive Director of Veterans Transition House, accepted this generous gift in front of the new Anthony C. and Salvatore H. Alfiero Outreach Center. Located at 1297 Purchase Street, this outreach center will enable Veterans Transition House to serve more veterans in the community, especially those at risk of becoming homeless, experiencing food insecurity, or in need of basic human services.

“This meaningful contribution from Anne Whiting Real Estate kicks off a $25,000 appeal to ramp up services from our new campus, including a meals program from a new commercial kitchen at 22 Willis Street,” stated Jim Reid. “Anne’s timing is perfect as we honor the sacrifices of veterans this Memorial Day. This really means a lot to us and our veterans.” To make an online contribution to this $25,000 Hope for Heroes Appeal between Memorial Day and the 4th of July, visit https://www.vetshouse.org/donate-now/.
